Studio Etiquette/FAQs
House Rules:
Let us know you’re stopping by and register HERE.
Please arrive 5-10 minutes before class begins, both virtually and in studio, so our yoga guides have the opportunity to check in with you. Late arrivals may be denied entry.
Please remove your shoes prior to entering the practice room. There is a shoe rack for your belongings.
Please be mindful of personal hygiene and refrain from wearing strong scents to honor the sensitivities of your fellow practitioners.
We ask that you turn off/silence cell phones/smart watches/etc. If you need your phone close by for special circumstances or emergencies, please inform your yoga guide prior to class.
If you have to leave the practice early, please inform your yoga guide prior to class and leave before śavāsana to honor the period of stillness and quiet for your fellow practitioners.
Frequently Asked Questions:
What should I wear?
Comfortable, breathable clothing that will not restrict movement.
What should I bring?
Yoga mat (we have some available in studio).
Water bottle if you have a tendency to get thirsty during practice.
Additional yoga props such as straps, blocks, towels, etc. (we also have props available in studio).
What should I expect during a class?
Most of our guides chant Auṃ or chant mantra during class. Feel free to join in or simply receive the vibrations (it’s not voodoo, we swear).
Please listen to the feedback from your body as you move through the practice and take care of you if something does not feel appropriate. Don’t hesitate to inform your guide of your experience.
What else should I know?
Please consult with your physician before practicing and let your guide know any pertinent information that can help them assist you in your practice.
Join each practice with a beginner’s mindset and honor how you show up in that moment, including the daily changes.
Yoga truly is for everybody and EVERY body. All of our yoga guides are equipped to support practitioners of all levels in EVERY class. However, feel free to reach out to us if you would like more guidance on where your yoga journey may align, or if you have any concerns!
